I haven’t posted much about my journey using eProductivity as my tool for implementing “Getting Things Done” (GTD) lately
because…
it simply works!

Yep, its become such an unobtrusive part of my arsenal that I haven’t got much to say about it. Everything that I do is beautifully integrated and I’m able to keep on top of things very easily. This frees me up from the mundane and urgent to do the interesting and important.
There’s been a number of surprising little things I’ve found as I’ve explored.
- The 2 minute timer that’s part of the tool bar when I start a task thus keeping me on track with the 2 minute rule.
- The fact that someone from my organisation (who doesn’t use eProductivity) sent me a delegated to do task, eProductivity opened it up with contexts and everything available – Great stuff
Though I haven’t yet worked out how I could send a delegated task out using eProductivity – Any ideas? - I can do all my weekly review parts right from within the handy weekly review coach (everything opens up in a sub-pane)
I’m sure I’ll find more interesting little benefits as I go. Maybe if enough people here in New Zealand get on the eProductivity bandwagon the Eric Mack will be able to come down, see our wonderful country, and do a coaching seminar as well.
I always feel it’s such a waste when people with incredible potential get bogged down doing stuff they simply shouldn’t be doing. So my posts on this site are predominantly about exploring ways to avoid this and to help people lead to their full potential. If you want to join with me in this journey you can follow me by rss feed, by email or through TwitterTags: David Allen, eProductivity, Eric Mack, Getting Things Done, GTD, Lotus Notes, Productivity
… and don’t be scared to let me know what you think!

I just blogged about the beginning of my experiences with eProductivity as well. I use a Mac at home and a PC at work. When people ask me why I use a Mac, I tell them “it just works”. In a recent blog post, I actually said the combo of Lotus Notes & eProductivity is just like my beloved Mac — it just works.
I think the fact that you say much the same is a wonderful testament to Eric Mack and his software developers.
Tams last blog post..THANK YOU, SENIORS!
Paul,
Thanks for sharing your ongoing eProductivity experience.
Yes, eProductivity supports delegated actions, however, we have then turned off nby default. This is because it is not considered a GTD best practice without advance agreement on how these will be handles.
That said, you can enable support for delegated actions in preferences. I will email you a screen shot.
Eric
