My Bucket List

The Challenge

I turned 50 last year, and when I look back at my life I sometimes wonder whether I shouldn’t have done more things.  I’m not saying that I’m unhappy with the achievements I’ve made to date.   I’m more wondering whether there haven’t been experiences I’ve missed out on because I haven’t been as adventurous as I should have been.

Just the other day I was reading a blog by Jo Walters where she invited her friend’s to put suggestions for a list of adventures that she wants to undertake.

The way I read her blog I believe she’s trying to do 250 things in the one year.  I reckon this would be a little bit too much for me so instead I’ve decided to put together a list that I should try to achieve before I shuffle off this mortal coil.

As I intend to live for a very long time I’ve decided not to put a limit to the number of items I have on my “Bucket List”.

I’ll keep everyone updated on how things are going through posts and pages in this blog.

The Rules

I’ve pretty much stolen these rules from

Jo Walters’ blog because she’s done them so well.

  • My challenge, my rules!
  • My decision is final.  You’re welcome to enter into correspondence over issues, but you’ll have to have a great argument to sway me.
  • I don’t have to do everything I add to my accepted list, but I do need a good reason for not doing it.
  • You can’t shout at me for rejecting something, but I do promise to explain why.
  • I can interpret list items however I like.  But feel free to legal if you think I’ve cheated.
