Do they do it just to bug me?

Shop assistants I’m talking about.  OK I acknowledge that they don’t need to count the change backwards to me anymore (They don’t need to even be able to do maths because there computer/till does it all for them) BUT…money

Why can’t they give me the coins first and then the notes/receipt?

Noooo…  They always put the note into my palm first and then place the coins in just such a way that they slide around making it a game of skill to get them from my hand into my wallet without chasing them around the floor (much to the amusement of the other shoppers!)

Maybe they run a little in-house competition to see who can make it most awkward for the shoppers?
