For a short time I’ve been sharing my favourite rss feed reading with you via the occasional post.
Recently I’ve discovered a WordPress plugin by C. Murray Consulting called “Recommended Reading: Google Reader Shared”.
As I use Google reader I though I’d give it a go to see if it made sharing these items any easier. Well. it did and it didn’t! You get to set how many of your shared Reader items that you want to show and then enter a simple shortcode where you want these to appear.
Issue:
All well and good but after doing one post I found that every time I shared a new item in Google Reader, the post changed!
Solution:
I now share the latest 15 items in a page called “Shared”. You can visit the page at any time using the link at the top of my site. But I won’t be sending out individual posts or emails with these on. So if you like to see what I’m reading please actually visit this page from time to time.
