Its exciting that this publication (3 MP3 CDs and a “Behind the Scenes” DVD) has come out for a number of reasons:

1. The use of MP3s over an audio-book style allows the owner to load up his or her iPod with the parts of the scripture they want to listen to;
2. Its youth oriented, and very well pitched from this point of view.  The use of readers with high youth profiles from American Idol, High School Musical and Lord of the Rings is sheer genius;
3. Its accessibility to youth via a medium that has become ubiquitous to them is great.  My wife and I have given paper Bibles to our kids but its often an uphill battle to get them to read them!
4. The text being used is clear and concise; and
5. The music adds to the reading very well.

I’m pleased to announce that this one’s a real keeper.
