Why on Earth Would Anyone Twitter?

Two nights ago a tech-savvy couple asked me this question.  They were laughing at the fact that I do twitter suggesting that my, and all tweets go along the lines of:

  1. Just got up
  2. Getting a coffee
  3. Reading my tweets
  4. Off to the toilet now, brb

Fortunately this isn’t what my twitter stream looks like and in fact, I’ve had immense productivity gains through networking and questions/answers, (through GTD and eProductivity), via twitter.  But I botched my chance at selling twitter because I struggled to put the benefits across properly.  I also didn’t explain very well how to get started.  I think I made things more complex than I needed to.

So, in the hope of redeeming myself a little, here are some great links.
